Armas Garbi

Armas Garbi guns are manufactured in Eibar, in the Basque gun making region in the north of Spain. Garbi is a Basque word, which means, “clean” and is an acronym formed from the initials of the names of the firm’s founders. “G” is for Guerrena Barrena, in charge of scale adjustments. “A” is for Alday, head of the engravers. “R” is for R. Churruca, who is in charge of assembly and final finish. “B” is for Barrenechea, the general manager of the company. “I” is for Irondo, an expert in adjustments and finishing of stocks. William Larkin Moore & Co. has been importing the fine line of Garbi shotguns since 1975 and we have had excellent success with them.

Garbi guilds a traditional English style gun based on the Holland & Holland type sidelock action. These guns feature chopper lump barrels, automatic ejectors, hand detachable locks and articulated front triggers. On custom orders, barrel lengths up to 30 inches are available and the stock dimensions can be built to customer specifications.

Extra sets of the same gauge barrels, three types of top rib, single trigger, pistol grip stock and beavertail forearm are also available. On the Model 103, two special varieties of high quality English engraving are available. Extra fancy Turkish or English walnut is available as an option on all models.

The Model 100 is a traditional game gun with Purdey style Rose & Scroll engraving, which is partially done by machine.
The Model 101 is a round action game gun with a Continental style large scroll engraving that is done completely by hand.
The Model 103A is a traditional game gun with Purdey style Rose & Scroll engraving that is completely done by hand. The action also has the traditional shaping improvements of a higher quality gun with beaded fences and sculpturing. The 103A also has an improved quality of wood and checkering. . The Model 103B is identical in appearance to the model 103A but also features a Holland & Holland type self-opening mechanism.
The Model 103A Special is a gun of the same quality level as the M103A but with one of two very high quality engravings. Each is done completely by hand to a very high standard. The No. 1 is an English style Rose & Scroll pattern done to the highest standard. The No. 2 (shown) is an ornamental floral scroll with 100 percent coverage. The Model 103B is identical in appearance to the model 103A but also features a Holland & Holland type self-opening mechanism.
The Model 200 is a finely finished gun will full coverage continental style engraving that features ribbons and floral bouquets. In 12 gauge, the M200 is usually built to a heavier pigeon gun weight.
Armas Garbi 103A Royal is a special model that includes extras such as H&H Royal style engraving, select fancy wood, matted concave rib and gold stock oval. This model is also available as the M103B Royal with H&H style self-opening mechanism.
The Model Express is a best quality sidelock ejector, side by side double rifle. The Express features chopper lump barrels of Boehler Rasant steel and a special lengthened and reinforced action made just for the rifle and rifle pressures. The stock is English Express style with pistol grip and cheek piece. The Express is available with your choice of two very special engravings. The No. 1 (shown here) is a very fine English style Rose & Scroll and the No. 2, an extraordinary ornamental scroll. The Express is available in 7x65R, 9.3x74R or 375 H&H.
